Notice Regarding Tirzepatide, also known as Mounjaro, for Weight Loss

We are aware of recent media reports of Mounjaro being used for weight loss. We understand that patients may have many questions. However, GP practices are not currently able to prescribe Mounjaro for weight loss purposes.

We are awaiting further guidance from our local NHS commissioners. It is expected that Mounjaro will only be available to a limited number of patients who meet strict eligibility criteria. They will be contacted by the surgery directly.

We kindly ask that patients do not contact the surgery for appointments to specifically request this medication.
